The
International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher
Education (QAHE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dwayne McKay, MSc,
Dr, as the Honorary Country Advocate for Jamaica. In this prestigious role, Dr.
McKay will represent QAHE and contribute to advancing the quality of
pre-tertiary and higher education in Jamaica.
Dr.
McKay brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position. He holds
an impressive educational background, including a Post Doctorate in Industrial
Engineering from Atlantic International University, a Doctorate in Mechanical
Engineering from Atlantic International University, and a Master of Science
Degree in Security Administration and Management from the Caribbean Maritime
University, among other qualifications.
With a
strong commitment to education, Dr. McKay has made significant contributions as
an Engineering Lecturer at the International University of the Caribbean and
the Caribbean Maritime University. He has excelled in his role, overseeing
students and lecturing on various engineering subjects.
Dr.
McKay has also gained extensive professional experience in the field, having
served as a Mechanical Engineering Teacher at St. Andrew Technical High School
and fulfilling maintenance and technician roles at prominent companies such as
The Jamaica Biscuit Company, West Best Foods Ltd, and Jamaica Broilers.
Furthermore,
Dr. McKay has contributed to the academic community through his publications.
His research papers, including "Eliminate Neck Spasm for Good, the
Relationship between Neck Spasms Resulting from Daily Activities and the
Exercises to Improve Neck Pain" published in the American Academic
Scientific Research Journal for Engineering, Technology, and Sciences, and
"Machine Learning" published in the International Journal of Recent
Scientific Research, have garnered recognition for their valuable insights.
Dr.
McKay's appointment as the QAHE Honorary Country Advocate for Jamaica
demonstrates his dedication to the advancement of pre-tertiary and higher
education and his commitment to quality assurance. He will play a vital role in
fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and promoting excellence in
education within Jamaica.
